Kim Kardashian is bringing braided pigtails back! The reality TV star and beauty buff shared a pic of herself to Instagram sporting sleek boxer braids and sky-high lashes. Get the details on her post-baby appearance!
Kim Kardashian, 35, has stayed pretty quiet since giving birth to her second child with husband Kanye West, 38, in December. But her latest beauty look was too good not to share, and Kim posted a picture proving that braided pigtails aren’t just for kids.

Kim shared the picture to her Instagram, showing off her all-black sportswear and fur combo, which Kanye also shared on his Twitter revealing that at least part of her look is from his soon-to-be-revealed Yeezy Season 3 collection. The presentation will take place at Madison Square Garden during New York Fashion Week, where Kanye will also release his latest album.
Even though the focus was clearly on the outfit, we couldn’t help but notice Kim is back to the boxer braids. Basically a reverse French braid or Dutch braid, the look has been sported by every celeb from Vanessa Hudgens to Selena Gomez. Even Kim’s little sis, Kylie Jenner, has been wearing braided pigtails — just keeping them in the classic French style.

If you want to copy the look for yourself, start by creating a clean part down the center of your head and clipping one side of the hair out of the way. On the unclipped side, divide your hair into three equal sections as you would a regular French braid and cross the strands under the middle section (as opposed to over) to create the inverted look.
Once you braid the other side, you can sprinkle a volumizing powder over your hair and use your fingers to slightly pull the braids apart for a more natural, undone effect.
