Aaron Tveit is proving what a killer Danny Zuko he’ll be in the production of ‘Grease: Live’ by flexing his insanely talented vocal skills! On Jan. 27 the hunky actor shared his rendition of ‘Popular’ from ‘Wicked’, and it was mind-blowing! See it here.
Aaron Tveit, 32, is warming up for his role as Danny Zuko in Grease: Live by belting out another huge Broadway hit! On Jan. 27 he performed an amazing version of Wicked favorite “Popular”, and proved why he got that lead role! Check it out, right here.
As if our crush on Grease: Live star Aaron wasn’t big enough already! The hunky performer-turned-actor is going to be Danny in the upcoming production, but he’s also been in Broadway’s Wicked not once but twice! As an ode to the play, in which he played Winkie Prince Fiyero, he switched it up and sang one of our fave Glinda songs, “Popular.”
And he totally killed it! He looks adorable with his blue t-shirt and slicked back hair, singing along with just a piano and acoustic guitar in a “Studio Sessions” series for the production. Plus, the guy has some serious singing chops, which only proves how perfectly cast he was for Grease: Live. It’s easy to forget he’s a seasoned performer because he’s gotten famous for roles in hit shows like Graceland and Gossip Girl, but he’s an old pro thanks to performances in Hairspray, Next to Normal, and Catch Me If You Can.
We’re more excited than ever to see the production of Grease: Live premiere on Jan. 31. The show will also feature the beautiful Julianne Hough as Sandy, Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, and Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy. It’s going to be so good, we’re counting down the seconds!
