If you thrive on Thin Mints and can’t survive without a supply of Samoas, we have good news: Girl Scout Cookies are going on sale! Here are the details on where you can buy your favorites and what’s new this year.
They’re addictive, delicious and going on sale: it’s Girl Scout Cookie season, giving everyone a chance to stock up on Samoas, Trefoils and all the brand new varieties. If you don’t know how to get your cookie fix, HollywoodLife.com has the details on where and when you can purchase all your favorite treats.
Before, a cookie-fanatic needed to track down a Girl Scout to place an order. But that’s so last century. Head over to GirlScouts.org and enter in your zip code to find the nearest official Girl Scout cookie booth in your area and the dates when it’ll be open. If you want to take your cookie cravings on the go, download the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app (available for both IOS and Android) and you can locate the closest Girl Scout seller, no matter wherever you are.
If you’d rather support your hometown Girl Scout, tell her you’d like to become a Digital Cookie Costumer and she’ll take it from there. The proceeds will go to your hometown’s Girl Scout Program and help each girl learn the essential 5 skills — goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics — from selling these treats.
This year, the trademark cookie stars are back — Thin Mints, Samoas, and Shortbread (aka Trefoils) — along with plenty of delicious snacks to make your cookie break the best part of your day. Give the Cranberry Citrus Crisps a try, or why not munch on some peanut butter Tagalongs? Take a bite out of a Toffee-tastic, a gluten-free cookie featuring a rich, buttery taste.
You can order the zesty, lemon flavored Savanna Smiles, covered with powdered sugar. Yum! Want a gluten-free cookie that contains chocolate chips, peanut butter and oatmeal? Then the Trios are for you.
If those aren’t enough to put you into a happy cookie coma, there are also the tangy Lemonades, the chocolate and shortbread Thanks-A-Lots, the Rah-Rah-raisins and the peanut butter sandwiches, Do-Si-Dos. Hmm. Is anyone else hungry right now?
However, not all cookie varieties are available in all regions. To find out which ones you can get, you’ll have to contact your local Girl Scout Council (which you can do via the Girl Scouts’ website.) No matter what’s for sale, be sure you support your local Girl Scouts during this season.
