Cam Newton isn’t thinking about being this year’s MVP just yet, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Instead, he’s just wants to win the day for the Carolina Panthers in their Jan. 24 NFL Conference Championship game against the Arizona Cardinals so they can play in the Super Bowl!
The Carolina Panthers are just one game away from possibly playing in Super Bowl XLIV, and quarterback Cam Newton, 26, has his eye on the prize. HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that he isn’t thinking about the NFL MVP up for grabs just yet. Right now, he just wants to make sure he’s victorious against the Arizona Cardinals on Jan. 24.
“He doesn’t care about the MVP right now,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Sure it will be nice, but he wants to win the Super Bowl. He wants to dominate this weekend. The MVP is not even on his mind right now.”
There won’t be an empty seat at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte when the two teams meet this Sunday, and all eyes will be on Cam, who is bound to be an important figure in the outcome of this game. The MVP of this NFL season will be announced at the NFL Honors on Feb. 6.
Quarterback Cam, who recently became a father with girlfriend Kia Proctor, has been playing for the Panthers for five years, but this is his best season yet. Leading the Panthers to a 15-1 record, Cam has also had more than 4,400 yards of total offense and a staggering 45 touchdowns.
Cam was recently named the Pro Football Writers of America’s MVP of this NFL season. He became the 41st player and first Carolina Panther to win the prestigious award. He is also the third consecutive quarterback to win the trophy. At least he’s already got one MVP award on his resume!
