They caused an upset earlier in the season by beating Manchester City 2-1 on the Premier League title favorite’s patch, but can West Ham repeat that success at Upton Park on Jan. 23? HollywoodLife.com doesn’t want you to miss a minute, so click here to watch the live stream!
Manchester City are just one point off the Premier League summit, but they will have to be on their game if they are to get a result at West Ham, who is having a stellar season and has already tasted victory against The Citizens this season. It promises to be a fascinating contest between two teams that boast aggressive players and quality goal scorers.
Upton Park is always a tough place to go, and City will need a win to keep up the pace in the Premier League with leaders Arsenal and second-placed Leicester City. But the Hammers, who occupy 6th spot in the league, have their own aspirations of finishing in the top 4, which would guarantee they’d qualify for the Champions League. Kick off is 12.30 p.m. EST. West Ham will be well aware of City’s main goal threat — the diminutive Sergio Aguero. The world class Argentinian forward has been instrumental in City’s recent good form since coming back from injury and has 10 goals in 15 Premier League games.
But West Ham shouldn’t be too disheartened because with the play-making skills of Dimitri Payet, they posses a man capable of winning the game on his own. He will be hoping to provide striker Enner Valencia with a killer pass capable of hurting City’s much-maligned defense.
Last season at Upton Park, West Ham recorded a 2-1 win over City, which means they’ve won two of their last three matches against today’s opponents. We are certainly guaranteed fireworks when these two teams meet.
