Underground doesn’t premiere until Wednesday, March 9, on WGN, but executive producer John Legend shared some inside scoop on his much-talked about new series at Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 23. Hear what he said here!
“Underground is a series about the underground railroad,” John said. And when asked what he thinks audiences will take from it, he said, “I think people will feel it more — the dangers that the slaves faced. [I hope they’re] inspired by their courage, by their willingness to take such a drastic risk to be free.”
