Jennifer Lopez kicked off her ‘All I Have’ Vegas residency on Jan. 18 with glitz, glamour and special guests. For those fans that couldn’t score tickets to the Sin City spectacular, here are 5 unforgettable and jaw-dropping moments from JLo’s Las Vegas launch.
All hail the new queen of Las Vegas, Jennifer Lopez. The 46-year-old superstar kicked off her residency, Jennifer Lopez: All I Have, the only way she could: fabulously. Here’s a look at five of the biggest moments of JLo’s opening night!
1. Endless incredible costumes and wardrobe changes.
Everyone knew JLo was going to be stunning for this first show and she certainly was! When she hit the stage at the Axis Theater in Planet Hollywood on Jan. 18, Jennifer gave the audience tons of glamour and sex appeal, wearing outfits that included a gemstone bodysuit, a blue velvet gown and a gem-stone covered tracksuit. Yes, even in Vegas, she’s still Jenny from the block.
2. Jennifer’s flawless choreography
JLo famously got her start as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color and she definitely showed off her moves during the first show of All I Have. She and her backup dancers tap-danced with canes, twirled while wearing fur coats, and had a number that featured butlers on hoverboards!
“You can do amazing things in Vegas,” Jennifer EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com, “and when you are not touring a show and have to pick up a set and take it – that is very expensive. So, a lot of times, you have to scare back.” JLo said “this [show] was a totally different idea to create a show that I have always wanted to do,” and clearly took advantage of what Vegas had to offer.
3. Ja Rule joining Jenny on stage.
For this debut performance, Jennifer treated the audience by bringing out some special friends. One of the night’s highlights happened when Ja Rule, 39, joined JLo to sing their No. 1 hit, “I’m Real.” Considering there was not a hint of lip-synching or auto-tune, Jennifer was completely real for this show!
4. Pitbull and Ne-yo’s were also there!
Ja wasn’t the only guest helping to make JLo’s opening night the best ever. Ne-Yo, 36, lent his sultry vocals to a performance of “All I Have,” while Pitbull, 35, brought the party when he and JLo busted out “On The Floor.”
5. The audience was completely packed with stars!
There were so many celebrities watching JLo’s opening night, reports E! News. Everyone wanted to see Jennifer slay on stage, including Justin Bieber, Rebel Wilson, Derek Hough, Hoda Kotb, Ryan Seacrest and more! Despite all the stars in the audience, they couldn’t outshine the biggest star of the night – JLo herself!
