Jennifer Lopez is superwoman — we can confirm it. Before the 45-year-old mother of two kicked off her “All I Have” residency in Las Vegas on Jan. 20, HollywoodLife.com asked her all about her intense schedule, and she even admitted that when she began filming Shades of Blue, even she thought she had bitten off more than she could chew. Well, she’s done it!

“I take it step by step and day by day and everyone in my life knows the commitments I have,” she told us on the silver carpet, adding that yes, “it was super overwhelming!” Over the summer, Jen filmed all of NBC’s new drama, Shades of Blue, and she just kicked off as a judge on the final season of American Idol.
“Before getting to the American Music Awards in November last year, and after we created the show, and after we filmed Shades [of Blue], and then filming Idol on the weekends . . . I was like, ‘Maybe this is the first time I bit off more than I could chew,'” she said. “But you know what, I take it day by day and I have an incredible support system.”
She also said that she’s with her kids all the time on her days off — and she’s always focused on not letting herself getting burnt out. “I don’t want to get to that point ever,” she said. “I want to enjoy what I am doing. I want to enjoy my life with my kids — So it is a juggling act.” Catch up on Shades of Blue here.
However, doing a Vegas show was important to Jen — and now was the perfect time. “When they offered [Vegas] to us last year I just thought that it was a good time to do it. You know I have kids and they are in school, and I live in LA,” she said. “Things just fit into your life when you have kids, you have to make all of that the priority and to be honest, I feel like it was the chance to create a show that I would not be able to create on the road and that was exciting to me creatively.”
