It was an humiliating loss last night for LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers. Stephen Curry and his championship team proved yet again, why they’re the boys to beat this season. At one point in the game, Steph snatches the ball right out of LeBron’s hands on his own floor, leaving him pretty embarrassed — click to watch!
Not only did Stephen Curry, 27, score 35 in 28 minutes, but he personally demolished LeBron James, 31, as well. The Golden State Warriors took on the Cleveland Cavaliers Jan. 18, and wound up destroying them by 132-98 on their home floor inside the Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavaliers are not really doing that awesome this season, so there was no stopping the Warriors from running circles around them on Jan. 18. They came in powerful right from the jump ball and played excellent defense and had powerful ball movement around the court. The Warriors led, 12-2, early in the first quarter; 34-21 after one quarter; and 70-44 by halftime. LeBron showed his frustrations all game, and who could blame him — he only scored 16 pts. against his rival. Yet, the best part was the reaction on his face when Steph strips him of the ball.
Prior to the game, Steph made a touchy remark to reporters on Jan. 17, when discussing the upcoming game. He expressed the feelings that would be arising once he walked into the guest’s team locker room in Cleveland. “Obviously, walking in the locker room, it’ll be good memories,” the former MVP said. “Hopefully, it still smells a little bit like champagne.” Cavs players reportedly found Curry’s comment “disrespectful.”
There’s no denying it, the Warriors are definitely the team to beat.
