The cops are still trying to figure out who killed Charlotte, but on the Jan. 19 episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ Alison started pointing fingers at her friends. So is it possible the liars offed the person they feared the most? Unfortunately for them, the evidence was damning.
Aria (Lucy Hale) looked hella suspicious on the Jan. 19 episode of Pretty Little Liars, when she headed back to Boston quickly after Charlotte’s (Vanessa Ray) death. But is Aria really the one who killed Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) sister?
It doesn’t seem like Aria killed Charlotte, but Ezra (Ian Harding) could be responsible. The girls first suspected Aria may have had something to do with the murder, when they discovered she left their hotel the night of the incident and didn’t return until well after Charlotte’s time of death. But she later explained that she met up with Ezra and they both saw Charlotte walk into the church alone. Ezra sent Aria home in a cab and as far as she was told, he went home too. However, the girls started toying with the idea that Ezra may have killed Charlotte when Spencer (Troian Bellisario) remembered she once let him read a college essay of hers, which thoroughly explained how to throw someone to their death. So in an effort to not only protect Ezra, but Spencer and Aria — since they think they may had been accomplices — Hanna (Ashley Benson) deleted the surveillance footage from the hotel, which showed Aria leaving that night.
Eek. Such a tangled web they’ve now weaved. Well, at least we know if one of them goes down for the murder of Charlotte, they’ll all be going down together.
In the romance department, we learned that Aria works with her new boyfriend, Liam. And it seems like their relationship is a big secret in the office. Five years may have passed, but girl still loves her forbidden romances. Hanna’s fiance, Jordan, also came to town and he almost seems too good to be true. Plus, he has a super sexy accent. It was super awkward to watch him and Caleb interact with each other at Alison’s dinner party, but we were almost too busy ogling Spaleb scenes to even notice. #Sorrynotsorry. It’s not yet clear if Spencer and Caleb are dating, but they definitely have feelings for each other.
Also worth mentioning: Emily has been getting treatments for an undisclosed illness, and her mom has no idea. Emily also spotted Sara Harvey at the cemetery when she visited her dad’s grave for the very first time — in the middle of the night. Lastly, Aria’s boss was pushing her to get Ezra’s second book from him and when he handed over what he has been working on, Aria discovered it’s a story about his dead wife.
