“The Dominator” (Dominick) proved a tough opponent to “The Viper” (TJ) right away, hard as ever to take down. There was a moment toward the end of the short fight in which he was knocked to his feet, but otherwise, he stood firm on his feet. TJ even slipped attempting to kick him in the head. Ouch!
Dominick continued dominating in the second round, and showed no signs of slowing down. But it was short-lived; TJ finally landed some awesome leg kicks, sweeping Dominick to the ground. The kicks and punches from both opponents kept coming. In the championship rounds, TJ fought valiantly, slamming his knees to Dominick’s legs and taking him down in in round four.
It wasn’t enough, though. Round five clinched the fight for Dominick when three ringside judges called the Octagon fight for Dominick. It’s a true Cinderella story for the UFC fighter. He regained the Bantamweight title from TJ after three ACL surgeries, a torn groin and almost four years stuck on the sidelines. Dominick is back!
