This might just be the best thing we’ve ever seen. The Jan. 16 episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ spoofed both ‘Undercover Boss’ and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ in a skit starring Kylo Ren (played by host Adam Driver). Watch it here!
Star Wars villian Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is a nightmare boss. Just ask the First Order storm troopers, who had him as an Undercover Boss on the Jan. 16 episode of Saturday Night Live. Not only was Kylo, who disguised himself as “Matt,” super strict, but he was also pretty violent. So much for going “undercover.”
“You get so caught up in restoring the galaxy to its rightful state that you miss what’s going on behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to having some real talk with some real folks,” Kylo told viewers in the skit.
The skit, which was one of our favorites of the night, featured a lot of fun moments. To start, Kylo as “Matt” showed his vulnerable side, when he apologized for killing his coworker’s son. (There’s nothing a Hallmark card can’t fix, right?) Then, he fought to keep his rage in check when another coworker made fun of his lightsaber and said,”Kylo Ren is a little punk b***h.”
In the end, Kylo revealed his identity to the First Order and promised that he’d now be more sympathetic about what they go through on a daily basis. “I had a blast today. I really learned a lot and people are gonna love the new me,” Kylo said, which is ironic because the camera then panned to a dead guy behind him. Whoops.
