Could Rihanna be performing at this year’s Grammy Awards? RiRi stars in a new CBS promo for the Super Bowl and the Grammys, and she just hinted that she might be taking the stage on Feb. 15. Watch the video and see what you think!
As Rihanna, 27, gears up for her new album, ANTI, and a world tour, she may be getting ready for something even bigger: Another Grammy Awards performance! When Rihanna appeared in an ad for both the Grammys and the Super Bowl, the Grammy veteran made it clear that she’ll be in attendance for music’s biggest night. But with the way she strutted her stuff in the promo, Rihanna certainly seemed ready to tear up the Grammy stage too! [hl_amazon_ns]
Fiercely making her way down a football field in a shimmery gold dress and heels, Rihanna looks incredible as she rolls up to the 50 yard line to meet NFL sportscasters Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, and James Brown. After the four face off in a coin toss officiated by Stephen Colbert, it’s declared that the Super Bowl goes first. In a classically sassy RiRi response, Rihanna says “I’m worth the wait.” Hmm…is Rihanna suggesting something?
Considering Rihanna has rumors swirling about the release date of her highly anticipated album and a huge tour coming up, there was almost no doubt that she’d be in attendance at this year’s Grammy Awards. Judging by the way she insinuated her appearance, though, it definitely sounds like more than just a red carpet strut and seat in the crowd!
Besides, Rihanna is no stranger to the Grammy stage. In fact, she just performed on it last year with Kanye West and Paul McCartney to sing their hit, “FourFiveSeconds”! What better way to celebrate a new album and the ANTI World Tour than with a Grammy performance, huh Ri? Stream Rihanna’s music, completely unlimited and ad-free, RIGHT HERE.
Even if Rihanna doesn’t end up singing on the 2016 Grammys, she is sure to blow us away with whatever she wears to the big night. Plus, we have Beyonce and Coldplay to look forward to in the Super Bowl half time show one week prior to the Grammys. With or without a Rihanna performance, we can’t handle all this excitement!
