Lil Wayne was appearing at the Philipp Plein show at Milan Fashion Week on Jan. 16 when things got a little too heated. As you can see in the video, acquired by TMZ, Weezy tried to get the audience going by asking them to put their hands up in the air.
As he was running through his hit song “John,” Weezy became fed up with something and slammed his microphone down on the floor. In fact, he was so mad, he left the venue almost immediately after walking off stage in a huff, and then tweeted his disgust later that night. “N****z in Italy slime,” he wrote on Twitter.
TMZ claims that a rep for Lil Wayne denied that the hip-hop star stormed off stage because of the crowd, and his frustration was due to “technical difficulties” with the sound of his microphone.
It’s not the ideal preparation for Lil Wayne, who is just about to embark on his The Dedication Tour next week. We hope he manages to stay on stage in his future performances! Stream Lil Wayne’s music completely ad-free on Amazon now!
