So. Much. Shade. President Barack Obama may be busy leading the country, but he still manages to find time to listen to rap music. And when he was asked whom he prefers — Drake or Kendrick Lamar — he didn’t hesitate to answer. Watch the video here!
President Barack Obama, 54, is infiltrating himself in pop culture yet again, despite haters wishing he wouldn’t. During a live-streamed interview on Jan. 15, the leader of the free world was asked to weigh in on the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar debate, and he had a lengthy, rather interesting response. To hear his answer, click below.
“Gotta go with Kendrick, I’m just saying. I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer but Kendrick, his lyrics, his last album was outstanding. Best album I think last year,” Obama said during a live-streamed interview with Adande Thorne. To hear that response, go to the 27-minute mark in the video above.
It’s interesting to hear POTUS take sides in the world of hip-hop, but we’re not totally surprised he picked Kendrick, 28. They do have a personal relationship, after all, as seen in this video from Complex.
Regardless, we loved watching this interview. On top of his conversation about Kendrick and Drake, 29, Obama also weighed in on his favorite Star Wars movie, Star Wars character, and so much more. It’s a good time — definitely watch it in its entirety.
