New details about Nick Carter’s shocking arrest have been released, and the Backstreet Boy is being accused of trying to choke a bouncer in a nasty bar fight.
Nick Carter, 35, is in big trouble after allegedly attacking a bouncer at a bar in Florida on Wednesday night, Jan. 13. The wild new details about what went down before his arrest will leave you speechless.
Things do not look good for Nick Carter after his nasty bar brawl on Wednesday, Jan. 13, that left him behind bars in Florida. The singer and recent Dancing With The Stars finalist was allegedly under the influence when he arrived at the bar where it all went down, reports TMZ, which was just the first of many bad things to go down that night.
The report claims that Nick and his allegedly intoxicated friend, Michael Papayans, arrived at the bar just before 7pm ET. The bartenders allegedly refused to serve Nick and Michael due to their state, and when the guys got angry the staff was forced to kick them out. That’s when things took a nasty turn and fists went flying, with eyewitnesses claiming that one of the guys tried to “sucker-punch” a bar employee.
Another eyewitness claims that Michael head-butted the manager, and then Nick allegedly grabbed one of the bouncers by the throat. Whoa.
Fortunately the staff members were able to restrain Nick and Michael before police arrived, which made their arrests go more smoothly than their fight. A picture from outside the bar allegedly shows both Nick and Michael laying on the ground as a police officer flashes a light on them.
According to the report, Nick was still in police custody as of Thursday morning, Jan. 14, after being charged with battery. This was a pretty terrible time for Nick to get into trouble, as his wife, Lauren Kitt, is pregnant with their first child.
