Um, this is NOT okay! We were super excited when we found out on Jan. 13 that the cast of ‘Friends’ would finally reunite, but that was short-lived before disappointment set in. One of the 6 says he won’t be there! But who is it? Find out here.
At least we got one full day of pure joy before discovering on Jan. 14 that the Friends reunion would be incomplete thanks to one cast-member who has better things to do. So who is it that’s breaking our hearts into a million pieces? We have the answer, here!
On Jan. 13 it was announced that the NBC gods had smiled upon the lifelong fans of the sitcom Friends, because after 12 Friends-less years, they will finally reunite for a two hour special to honor one of their directors, James Burrows, for his 1000 episode of television. Unfortunately it looks like James will only be 85% honored, because Matthew Perry can’t make it. “Regarding Matthew Perry and the James Burrows tribute, Matthew will not be attending, as he is in London in rehearsals for his play, The End of Longing, which begins previews on February 2 at the Playhouse Theatre,” Perry’s rep tells Us Weekly.
Um, BOO! It’s cool that you’re in a play in London and all (like, really cool), but couldn’t you take just a smidge of time to make all of our wildest dreams come true and include our beloved Chandler in the reunion? “NBC executives were aware of this prior to their TCA announcement yesterday. Matthew may tape something for the tribute,” she continues. “In other words, this is not the reunion people have been hoping for.” Honestly yeah, it’s not exactly what people were hoping for, and fans made that VERY clear on Twitter. Here are some of their reactions.
Come on, Matt. Pleaseeeeee? What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Let us know in the comments below.
