As news spreads of his untimely death from cancer, more and more co-stars are speaking out to share their sadness over losing Alan. Now, Emma Watson, the actress who played Hermoine in the Harry Potter films with Alan, has shared her own words about the loss.
“I’m very sad to hear about Alan today,” Emma wrote on her official Facebook page on Thursday, Jan. 14. “I feel so lucky to have worked and spent time with such a special man and actor. I’ll really miss our conversations. RIP Alan. We love you.”
Emma isn’t the first of Alan’s Harry Potter family to speak out. Author J.K. Rowling wrote two very touching tweets on her account after hearing the news, calling Alan a “wonderful man” that she would miss dearly. Daniel Radcliffe spoke out as well by releasing a lengthy statement about how important Alan was to him not just as a co-star but as a friend.
