Caitlyn Jenner is ready to step into Ricky Gervais’ shoes after his joke dissing her at the 2016 Golden Globes. Hear what she had to say!
Caitlyn Jenner, 66, is ready to fire back at Ricky Gervais after he used her as a but of a joke at the 2016 Golden Globes. The host did not attack Caitlyn for her transition, but for the fatal car accident that Caitlyn — still Bruce at the time — was involved in back in February 2015.

“I think what I’m going to do is call the Golden Globes and see if they need a new host for next year and we’ll solve that problem,” Caitlyn said laughing at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena on Jan. 14.
In case you missed it, during his opening monologue at the 2016 Golden Globes, Ricky talked about how things had changed this year — namely Caitlyn.
“She became a role model for trans people everywhere, showing great bravery in breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes,” he said. “She didn’t do a lot for women drivers, but you can’t have everything, can ya?” Watch I Am Cait here on Amazon Prime.
After that, Ricky recieved a great deal of criticism for being “transphobic” — something he didn’t take to well. “Suggesting a joke about Caitlin Jenner is automatically transphobic is like suggesting a joke about Bill Cosby is automatically racist,” he wrote on Twitter. “But it WAS Bruce Jenner who changed. Into Caitlyn Jenner. And I respect that. Just not her driving,” he added before writing, “I made a joke about Caitlyn Jenner killing someone in her car. I’m #TransportPhobic.”
Do you think that Ricky’s joke was out of line, HollywoodLifers?
