This may just be the best news ever! Joe Jonas, who happens to be my second favorite Jonas brother (sorry, I have a borderline inappropriate obsession with Nick), has joined the cast of Fox’s ‘Grease: Live,’ which airs on Jan. 31 in front of a live audience. Find out all the details here!
Joe Jonas has just become a last-minute addition to the cast of Fox’s Grease:Live, a new report claims. Not only will Joe appear in front of a live audience during the Jan. 31 airing, but he’ll also be singing! Bless.
Joe, 26, will actually be appearing in the special with his entire band, DNCE, Entertainment Weekly claims. They’ll head to Rydell High, the fictitious high school from Grease, and they’ll be playing another band. Joe and his bandmates will play “Johnny Casino and the Gamblers, the questionably wholesome school dance band that takes the stage at Rydell’s high school hop,” EW further reports. In the 1978 film, Sha Na Na, a famous rock-and-roll group, played the role of the Gamblers.
Interestingly, Boyz II Men will also appear in the live musical, but they’ll play a trio of Teen Angels. Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, Carly Rae Jepsen, Keke Palmer, Carlos PenaVega, and Kether Donahue are also starring in the Fox broadcast of Grease, so it’s sure to be a good time! We can’t wait to watch and DNCE our butts off. Oh, whoops — we mean dance. Sorry, we’ve got Joe Jonas on the brain!
