Brace yourself ‘Friends’ — the cast is coming back to your TV. This is not a drill: they will be there for you. Could we BE anymore excited?
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry are about to head back to NBC — and we couldn’t be more excited. The cast will all be part of a two-hour special to honor the legendary director, James Burrows!
“I’m hoping that all six of them will be in the same room at the same time. I’m not sure that we can logistically pull that off,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said at the Television Critics Association press tour on Jan. 12. “But they will all be there,” Paul Telegdy, President of Alternative and Late Night Programming added.
The cast will all be part of a two-hour special to pay tribute to sitcom director James Burrows, who directed his 1,000th episode in TV when filming the latest episode of NBC’s new show, Crowded.
James directed 15 episodes of Friends, including some of the most hilarious episodes like The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break and The One with the Morning After.
Casts from Will & Grace, Frasier, Taxi and Cheers will also be included for the special, as well as current hits James has worked on from Mike & Molly and The Big Bang Theory. Our sister publication, TVLine was the first to break the news. Stream more Friends here!
HollywoodLife.com got a chance to chat with Sean Hayes about the Will & Grace reunion, too! Are you excited for the special? It will tape later in January in Los Angeles and air on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 9/8c PM. What do you want to see on the special? Let us know in the comments below.
