Ever since Klaus (Joseph Morgan) officially headed to New Orleans and left Caroline (Candice King) in Mystic Falls, the Klaroline fans have been dying to see if there will ever be some sort of reunion. (I mean he does intend to be her last love.) So, what’s that mean for The Originals/The Vampire Diaries crossover coming midway through the season?
The crossover, which will take place in episode 14 of each show, will feature Stefan (Paul Wesley) heading to New Orleans, where he’ll stay for both TVD and The Originals. Stefan is still with Caroline, so could she come, too? “There is a presence of Caroline buried within that, but I can’t really say in what context,” Julie Plec teased to our sister publication, Variety.
Ugh, well we can only imagine that Klaus will have some sort of snarky comment to make about Stefan being with Caroline. Stefan will “help Klaus deal with a problem that is super specific to Stefan’s survival,” she added.
Julia also said that the writers have been working for a while on coming up with how to make a crossover happen. “So we’re sitting in the room, and the plot point is that Stefan is in trouble and he’s being pursued by means of magic so how can we get him safe? Well, let’s get him to a place where there’s no magic. And I was like, ‘Oh sh-t! St. James Infirmary! There’s a place where there’s no magic that can work in New Orleans!'”
