Yep, it’s Lace! The girl vying for Ben’s love has already caused a stir on The Bachelor, so it’s not surprising that she’s joined Bachelor In Paradise. “Lace will be there,” The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss confirmed to E! News at the 2016 Winter TCA Press Tour. For all the Lace/Ben shippers out there, it looks like you’re out of luck.
Lace brought the drama in The Bachelor premiere when she asked to speak to Ben right after the rose ceremony because he didn’t make eye contact with her when he handed her the final rose. Yeah, it was super random. And she stole Ben’s first kiss! Mike noted that the girls on the show are doing whatever they can to get Ben’s love because he’s just so darn perfect!
“This may be the best Bachelor we’ve ever had. He’s incredible…he’s such a warmhearted, genuine person. He’s sweet, sincere and he’s got a sense of humor. He’s a great guy,” Mike said.
Ben also admitted that he had to have a lot of “patience” to handle Lace on the first night. “Patience is how you should confront any situation,” he told EW. “It’s a long day, a long night, you’re walking into a house with a bunch of women you just met and trying to wrap your brain around the whole situation and I get that it’s hard. Right away I noticed she didn’t want to hold in her feelings and thoughts, she wanted to express them, and that helps me out to know where everybody is at.”
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Bachelor In Paradise will return in the summer of 2016.
