Kristen Dunst is back on the red carpet and looking better than ever! The actress attended the Golden Globes in a black velvet Valentino gown with the dramatic black smokey eye makeup to match. Get the details on her makeup look!
Kirsten Dunst, 33, attended the 73rd annual Golden Globes on January 10 with a look that was both sexy and sophisticated thanks to her dramatic dress and smokey eye combined with her elegant low knot hairstyle. The actress, who was nominated for her role in the FX TV series, Fargo, ultimately lost to Lady Gaga, but still showed off a winning beauty look.
While most celebs’ pre-award show routine includes expensive skin care products and length facials with Hollywood’s top estheticians, Kirsten surprisingly turned to drugstore favorite Simple Skincare. Her makeup artist Pati Dubroff shared with us that she prepped Kirsten’s skin with Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer to create a smooth, hydrated canvas for her makeup look.
For the dramatic, yet decidedly feminine look, Pati worked with Chanel beauty to create the perfect dark eye makeup and apricot lip. For the detailed eye makeup, Pati started by applying Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense along Kirsten’s upper and lower lash lines and along the corners and inner rims of her eyes. Next, she smudged the Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Purple Choc from Kirsten’s lash line to her crease, blending together. Pati then applied the Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Ebony to the crease of Kirsten’s eyes and just underneath her eyes, winging it out slightly.
On the top of the lid, Pati used Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Mirifique, followed by the same shadow in Moonlight Pink on the brow bone. To complete the eye makeup look, Pati applied several coats of Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara in Noir.

For her apricot lip, Pati started by applying Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Article and at the center of Kirsten’s lips, she applied the Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Script.
For her post-award show skin care, Pati left Kirsten with Simple Micellar Cleansing Water and Simple Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes to gently take off all of her makeup and leave her skin soft and clean.
