Supermodel Iman Abdulmajid, 60, is leaning on God after her husband David Bowie‘s untimely death on Jan. 10, she revealed in an Instagram tribute. Iman posted two messages on Sunday, in which she talked about David’s “value” and the “memory” she’ll never forget. Read the heartbreaking messages here.
“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory,” Iman wrote in a tribute the day her husband died. She also shared an image with the saying: “The struggle is real, but so is God,” along with the caption “Rise.” See those Instagram posts below.
Sadly, Iman’s not the only one with their heart breaking. David’s son Duncan Jones is also extremely devastated right now. After the shocking news broke after the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards, Duncan posted a black and white picture of himself and the singer. He also shared a touching message that read, “Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all.”
On a positive note, despite David’s ongoing battle with liver cancer, his official Facebook page said he “died peacefully” while “surrounded by his family.” The message also acknowledged David’s many, many fans, saying, “We ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”
Our thoughts go out to David’s family and friends, especially his wife, during this difficult time.
