Cookies from Cookie! It was a hard category to win, but Empire’s Taraji P. Henson walked away with the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama. And what better way to celebrate than sharing a snack with Leonardo DiCaprio and Lady Gaga.
Congrats, Taraji P. Henson! The 45-year-old Empire star won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards for her role as Cookie Lyon. And in walking up to grab her award, she handed out chocolately snacks to Lady Gaga, Leonardo Dicaprio, and whoever else wanted one on her way to the stage! LOL!
“Cookies for everyone tonight!” proclaimed the actress, as she took the Golden Globes stage to accept her award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama. Taraji hilariously passed out cookies to fellow actors on her way up to the stage as a nod to her fan-favorite character, Cookie, on the hit drama Empire. The actress was up against heavy hitters such as Caitriona Balfe, Viola Davis, Eva Green, and Robin Wright, but ultimately Taraji walked away with the ultimate prize and it was well deserved!

Taraji thanked her publicist, her manager, and her family as she graciously accepted her award. However, we think she could have gone on all night! As soon as she got the signal to wrap things up, she announced, “I waited 20 years for this! You’re going to wait!” Spoken like a true queen Taraji!
The star was stunning in a subtly sexy all-white gown. The Stella McCartney dress fit the actress like a dream and rocked her glam look just as the fabulous Cookie would. We totally approve!
It was also a big night for many other stars! Rachel Bloom won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Comedy/Musical for her role as Rebecca Bunch in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Jon Hamm took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama for his role in Mad Men.
