Looking good girl! Rachel Bloom is not afraid to admit she wears Spanx as she proudly proclaimed her love of shapewear in a sexy song before hitting the Golden Globes Red Carpet. Check it out below!
While usually the gowns get all the attention during the Golden Globe Awards, Rachel Bloom, 28, had everyone talking about what’s hiding underneath. And boy was she NOT shy about flaunting it! Watch the hilarious video of the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star singing an ode to her Spanx…in nothing but Spanx!
Most stars shy away from talk of undergarments, but not Rachel. We loved how the Best Actress in a Television Series Musical/Comedy winner sang her Spanx-wearing heart out and professed, “I can’t breathe!” before making her debut on the Golden Globes red carpet. See stars ARE just like us!
For Rachel, getting Red-Carpet-Ready includes throwing on her trusty pair of Spanx before squeezing into her skin-tight gown. And we don’t blame her for wanting to look her best! Her emerald-green, custom-made dress was designed by Christian Siriano and it was a true stunner. It fit the actress like a glove, which is no doubt why the she was thankful for the help of the nude-colored underwear.
Rachel can be seen body-rolling while singing her original song in a comedic video that was posted to her Instagram account just hours ahead of the event. “It’s the sexy Golden Globe-y song, the sexy Golden Globe-y song,” Rachel belts while seductively thrusting her chest. She continues, “Spanx and a corset, Spanx and a corset” and then admits, “I can’t breathe!”
She could have fooled us though! Despite lack of oxygen, Rachel looked stunning in her off-the-shoulder dress and received rave reviews from Twitter when she arrived on the Red Carpet. Even the designer himself, Christian, proudly tweeted, “The stunning Rachel Bloom looks gorgeous in her custom Siriano gown tonight.”
We think Rachel looked beautiful tonight too! And she was certainly a hit in every way as she walked away with a Golden Globe in hand for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical/Comedy. You go Rachel!
What do you think of Rachel’s vid, HollywoodLifers? Should more stars be this candid and genuine?
