Unbelievable! With no winner in Jan. 9’s record $949.8 million Powerball drawing, the next jackpot could reach an estimated $1.3 billion, lottery officials said. So when is the next drawing? Find out all the details here!
Can you believe it? No one won Saturday night’s massive $949.8 million Powerball drawing, so now, players will be eligible to take home a new jackpot of approximately $1.3 billion — a new world record — lottery officials said Jan. 10! To find out when the next drawing is, click below.
The next Powerball drawing will be on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 11:12 p.m. ET. Lottery official revealed early Sunday morning that the estimated jackpot will be $1.3 billion. Its cash option will be approximately $806 million. Either way, that’s a lot of money! Whoever ends up winning will be Oprah rich.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Saturday’s winning numbers were 16, 19, 32, 34, 57, and a Powerball of 13. To win the jackpot, all six numbers had to be correct. The first five could be in any order, but the sixth had to be the Powerball number. When it was shockingly revealed that no one won, Gary Grief, the executive director of the Texas Lottery, told ABC News he was surprised with the results. He did, however, say that 25 players won a $1 million prize and three others won a $2 million prize. He then added, “If you don’t play, you will not win.”
The chances of winning Powerball’s grand prize is 1 in 292.2 million. So make sure you purchase new tickets before the Jan. 13 drawing. Good luck to everyone!
