Ok, is it just us, or can JLo do no wrong? The L’Oreal brand ambassador completely stole the show for us tonight as she stepped out in this jaw-dropping hair and makeup look. Though her mustard-colored gown was the real show-stopper here, she made sure to compliment its bold hue by giving her skin a sexy, sun-kissed glow. To create the look, makeup artist Mary Phillips first applied Armani Prima Eye and Lip Contour Perfector on the upper eye lid and around all around the mouth and lips. Next, she created a natural 3D effect by layering sheerer colors of L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation in Natural Tan.
She then used darker shades in the Infallible Pro Contour Palette in 814 Medium along the jawline, underneath the cheek bones, on the temple, across the forehead and along the nose to give her an all-over glow. The highlighter hue was also applied to the center of the forehead, nose, directly above the jawline, and underneath the brow bone for a multi-dimensional effect. Mary’s self-proclaimed “holy grail” blush, L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Blush in Spiced Plum was then added to the apples of the cheeks for a fresh pop of color.

On the eyes, Mary applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eyeshadow Mono in 306 across the brow bones, shade 201 along the crease and 205 to the center of the upper lid and along the lower lashline for a chic, layered look. She then drew a very, very thin line of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Black Velvet Liner across the top lashes. Mary finished the liner look by applying L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte-Matic Liner to the upper and lower lashlines, making sure to get in between lashes for added drama, and sealing it with a coat of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Superstar Mascara.
On the lips, Mary mixed L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss in Rouge Envy, Nude Allude and Forbidden Kiss for a very full lip effect that was neither too wet nor matte.
For her hair, L’Oreal hairstylist Lorenzo Martin Jr. created “a classic Hollywood look with her hair slightly flipped and parted to the side.” To recreate it, Lorenzo first washed Jennifer’s hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner. He then sprayed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Air-Blown Texture Mist to create extra body before blowing drying it with a large round brush. Next, Lorenzo sprayed the hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Blow Out Heat Spray. Using a 1” barrel curling iron, he then curled the hair in one direction, pinned it and let cool. Next, to create a sleek look he added a bit of shine using L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Lustrous Oil Serum on the front and ends of hair. Lorenzo then finished the look by brushing out the hair and setting it with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray.
All in all, it’s been a huge week for the “Booty” singer. In addition to rocking the Golden Globes red carpet, JLo also made her debut on NBC’s new hit drama, Shades of Blue. Joining cast mates Ray Liotta and Drea De Mattio, Jen takes on the role of a single mother and cop from Brooklyn who gets caught being dirty, so naturally, she becomes an FBI informant. Her character, Harlee Santos, is then assigned to spy on her coworkers, while also raising her daughter. Without giving too much away, we’ll just say that the show is dark and super intense, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it landed Jen her own Golden Globes nomination this time around next year.
