It’s time for the wild card playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings! There’s just one hitch in both team’s battle plans: it’s a whopping -3 degrees in Minneapolis! Obviously, fans are freaking out that this is going to affect the game! Click through to see their tweets!
Oh, the humanity! Fans have been waiting with bated breath for the Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks to duke it out on January 10, and it looks like that’s going to be a little hard unless they’re watching from home. The high temperature in Minneapolis is three degrees, with the current temp hovering around -9 degrees. How are the players supposed to perform, the coaches to do their jobs, and fans to cheer everyone on, in conditions like this? Are they allowed to wear cold weather gear? Tons of anxious fans (on both sides) took to Twitter to express their concerns — read on to see their tweets!
How cold is it? It’s so cold, that news crews’ camera batteries are freezing; cameramen are crowding at the sidelines attempting to thaw them out over heaters. This is insane! A 4.5 MILLION BTU heater is in place to attempt to keep the field from icing over, making all this agony for nothing! Maybe not a symbol of good things to come in this game: the Vikings’ Gjallarhorn statue shattered from the unbearable cold!
Despite the in climate weather, the show must go on; the players are getting an added layer of protection from specially-designed frigid weather underwear, supplied by Minnesota-based WSI Sports. Thank god! It’s not the same as wearing a parka, but the gear will ensure that the players aren’t getting frostbite out on the field. As for the fans, they’re expected to bring their own winter wardrobes, but the Vikings have made sure that they’re going to be okay with a few necessities: free cups of steaming hot coffee, and access to some high-powered heaters. Let’s hope that assuages these fans’ worries:

Seahawks players aren't from Minnesota so they won't be used to cold weather. You know who else isn't from Minnesota? The Vikings players.
