He’s back! Ricky Gervais is back hosting the Golden Globes for the fourth time and right from the jump, he didn’t disappoint. Warning to all viewers, his material was very offensive — and it was awesomely entertaining!
Ricky was on fire right from the start. No Hollywood star stood a chance as soon as he stated: “Relax I’m going to try and be nice” — while sipping a glass full of beer. He went on to say, “I want to do this monologue and then go into hiding. Not even Sean Penn will find me. Snitch.” Then followed it up with, “I’ve changed, not as much as Bruce Jenner has though”, while then going on to attack Kylie Jenner‘s newfound celeb status. The Brit also attacked the movie Pixels, by saying Schindler’s List was a lot more funnier — ouch. Ricky also told the stars that the award is just metal and it’s meaningless — so “don’t get emotional, it’s embarrassing.”
Ricky then went right for Jennifer Lawrence — she didn’t stand a chance. He jokingly dissed her for standing up for equal pay in Hollywood and stated that he was even getting paid the same as last year’s hosts… combined.
Prior to the show, ricky shared a very, very candid snap of himself prepping for the big night. Honestly, we wouldn’t have him any other way!
Better get dressed and offend some humourless cunts I suppose. pic.twitter.com/X4idHHuMMf

Before the show, the Globe’s producer, Barry Adelman Adelman told our sister publication Variety: “There’s a sense of danger about Ricky. What’s he going to say? What’s he going to do. We want to let Ricky be Ricky. I think there’s now an understanding between Ricky and the stars in that room that probably didn’t exist in the first year that he hosted. His attitude is, ‘It’s just a joke, what is everybody getting so excited about?’”
