“Please let the record show I have never in my life been on bumble,” the Trainwreck star tweeted on Jan. 6. Her response comes after news broke that Amy allegedly met Ben on the popular new app Bumble. The app, like tinder, requires a guy and a girl to “like” each other (or, in dating app world, “swipe right”), but, here’s the catch — the woman has to send the first message and do it within 24 hours. It’s a stressful time in the dating world these days…don’t we know it!
But Amy must’ve met her beau in a more traditional way, because although she didn’t confirm how they got together, she did add another social media message to reiterate that it wasn’t the way people are saying. “#tbt me and my date to the globes #roadmanager my bf will be there too who I repeat I did NOT meet on bumble,” she wrote, alongside throwback pic of herself and her sister. Okay, we get it!
However they met, we’re beyond stoked that the Inside Amy Schumer comedienne has finally found somebody to love! The 34-year-old first teased that she had someone in her life back on Dec. 30, when she shared a photo of herself holding a box of yeast infection cream with the simple caption, “I met someone!” Then, she jokingly commented on one of Ben’s photos that she’s “pregnant,” and he finally confirmed the romance by uploading an adorable pic of them together.
“Sometimes in life you get extremely lucky, and the smartest, funniest, most beautiful woman comes along when you least expect it,” he captioned the cuddly pic. “Here’s to what adventures 2016 brings!” Umm…we’re totally in love already — and we can’t wait to see Amy and Ben make their red carpet debut at the Golden Globes on Jan. 10!
