Vanessa Hudgens, 27, looked better than ever at the January 6 People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The actress and singer paired a retro-inspired metallic pink lip with her signature kohl-rimmed smokey eye makeup and a more modern, slicked-back hairstyle, making her one of our favorite looks from the night.

We’re kind of obsessed with Vanessa for embracing the resurging ’90s metallic lip trend, thanks to her makeup artist for the night, Karan Mitchell. The frosty pink shade she chose instantly had us thinking of models Kate Moss and Linda Evangelista, who sported the look. If you want to copy Vanessa and our favorite ’90s supermodels, try Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick in Debutante. The slightly peachy, slightly pink shade applies straight from the tube like a gloss, but will still give you a high-impact look.
To add a more modern (and grunge) vibe to the look, hairstylist Richard Collins gave Vanessa’s lob a slicked-back and slightly volumized style.

Vanessa presented an award alongside her fellow co-stars, Julianne Hough, Carly Rae Jepsen, Keke Palmer and Kether Donohue in the upcoming televised special, Grease: Live. The musical, which is set to air on Fox on January 31, stars Vanessa as everyone’s favorite Pink Lady, Rizzo.
Vanessa has also been busy with the launch of her lifestyle site, Astral & Opal, which just launched in December. In her opening letter, the actress wrote: “I love surfing the web but nothing ever stuck with me. So, I thought it was time to create the site I needed in my life. As for me, I believe that life is as you make it. I want to feel good, look good and live a colorful life full of adventure. You are in the drivers seat, on an open road and only get one lifetime to make it count. We gotta live it to the fullest!”
