Ruby Rose, 29, was just unveiled as the new face of Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren Spring 2016 Campaign and we could not be more excited for her! The Orange Is The New Black star is the perfect choice for the brand, considering it is edgy, cool, and casual, just like her! We are obsessed with all of her campaign photos — she looks flawless! What do you guys think of her latest campaign?
We are so excited for this campaign because the brand will release a four-episode video series on their Instagram — how cool is that?
Ruby gushed about working with the brand, saying, “They actually collaborate with us, they don’t say, ‘Let’s pick a spokesmodel and put them in our clothing,’ they look at what makes their models exciting, whether it’s acting, art or music, and they use those characteristics.”
She goes into more detail, saying, “We had full creative direction with what we wanted to do and how to wear the clothes. We took a lot of footage to showcase the collection, my personality and New York City.”
Ruby told PeopleStyle, “I feel like my style is very much androgynous. It’s rock, chic, like casual wear, but then on the flip side to that, being that it’s so androgynous, it’ll either be skinny jeans and a leather jacket, or if I’m doing a red carpet or event, I’ll completely flip that and be wearing a suit or a dress.”
“But I have a very eclectic style—for me, it’s about how I feel in that moment and what’s going to make me comfortable and happy and bring out whatever I’m feeling internally and externally. Because fashion essentially is art, and as an artist and someone who is also a musician and an artist in regards to drawing and painting, anything I can do that expresses my feelings is something I’m really drawn to. So [my style] changes a lot, but generally it is on the rocky, androgynous, chic side.” Wow, Ruby is so cool, we can’t even handle this!
