Both the Nittany Lions and the Bulldogs are bringing impressive records to the table. Penn State’s running back Saquon Barkley has rushed for 1,007 yards in 2015 and broken the school’s single-season record for a freshman, according to AL.com.
Meanwhile, Penn State’s quarterback Christian Hackenberg has thrown 8,318 passing yards this season, the school’s record high. The quarterback also holds the school’s record for the most touchdown passes with 48.
However, the Georgia defense is a force to be reckoned with. Only 1,753 passing yards have been gained against them this season. That’s the fewest amount of yards in the nation! Watch out, Christian!
The last time Georgia and Penn State played each other was in the Sugar Bowl in 1983. Penn State beat the Bulldogs 27-23. The Nittany Lions also won the 1982 college national championship that season. It’s been a long time coming to see these two teams meet up again, and it’s going to be very interesting to see how it all plays out!
