The Oregon Ducks are currently second in the Pac-12 standings and 15th overall with a 9-3 record. The TCU Horned Frogs are third in the Big 12 conference and 11th overall with a 10-2 record. Both teams are coming off winning seasons and definitely want that last win!
TCU will be playing without one of their key players tonight — star quarterback Trevone Boykin. He was arrested for third-degree assault on Dec. 31 after a bar fight. He was suspended from playing in the Alamo Bowl.
“It’s unfortunate for him because Trevone has meant so much to TCU. We love him,” TCU coach Gary Patterson said in a press conference, according to ESPN. “But he understands. It wasn’t even a conversation between him and I. It was one of those situations where he was there at curfew, and then I get a call early in the morning that he wasn’t at curfew. Everybody makes decisions.”
This is going to be one exciting match-up! TCU and Oregon are both huge teams in college football. They’re going to be making big plays tonight and go out in style!
