According to a customer, who videotaped the fiasco, the raccoon was hanging down for the ceiling for quite some time before successfully making its move. “It was looking around for a little bit and then it grabbed [one],” the customer told Buzzfeed. “Like, it was choosy.”
The short video clip shows that the raccoon did end up getting what he came for — it exited back through the ceiling with the doughnut of choice in mouth. And, in the most miraculous part of the story, it all went down before animal control could show up and capture the creature! “People outside were cheering when he finally got the doughnut,” the witness added.
In case you forgot, Ariana Grande had her own fiasco involving doughnuts back in July! The singer and her dancer/boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, were hanging out at Wolfee’s Donut shop on July 4, and cameras caught them totally tampering with the treats on display — Ariana was even seen licking one of the doughnuts on the counter! The situation became known as “Donutgate,” and it sparked a MAJOR controversy — especially since Ari commented that she “hates America” for having such yummy food in the video — that lasted for days.
“My behavior was very offensive and I apologized,” she admitted in September. “There’s no excuse or there’s nothing to justify it. I think that as human beings we all say and do things that we don’t mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it. I mean, it’s part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes and that’s how we grow. I think one of the biggest thing I learned from that was what it feels like to disappoint people who love and believe in you.” Well said, girl! Check out Ariana’s song “Focus” RIGHT HERE.
