He’s still got it! Diddy and members of his Bad Boy family dominated at Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution in Miami, leaving the audience (and us) stunned! Performing a medley of classic hits, as well as a couple new jams, it was just a reminder of why this man is considered a legend. So when’s that Bad Boy Records reunion tour happening again?
Obviously the audience lost their minds when Diddy/Puff Daddy strolled out on stage. In a haze of smoke and sky-high sparklers, he looked like he owned Pitbull‘s show — and he totally did! Forget New York City; Miami was the place to be on New Year’s Eve, and Diddy was the reason.
His epic entrance segued into his classic “Bad Boys For Life,” then slipped effortlessly into his duet with Ma$e, “Can’t Hold Me Down.” The audience went wild! Mase, looking a little warm in the Miami heat wearing a white parka, was still the epitome of cool.
From there, Diddy rolled out some more recent music, getting down with Zoey Dollaz and French Montana. So damn cool! But the real surprise came when everyone thought Diddy was done for the night. Not the case! Out came Busta Rhymes (seriously!) to throw down a crazy version of “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and “Pass the Courvoisier, Part II.” Dude. This is an incredible night, not just because it’s New Year’s Eve, but because of what it’s doing for music itself!
Despite being the king of parties, Diddy gave some sage, surprisingly calm advice in between his raging sets. He asked the audience to “be kind to yourselves and your families” in 2016. Not only that, but he believes everyone should go into the new year without negativity. Well, after seeing his performance we could hardly be mad!
