The search for Craig Strickland continues, and his wife, Helen Wisner, is remaining hopeful. Despite the tragic and dire circumstances, the former Miss Arkansas refuses to believe she’s lost her husband, and she’s made that clear on Twitter. See her latest messages here.
“The search is called for the night — will resume in the morning,” she tweeted on Dec. 29, a full day after Craig was officially declared missing and two days after he embarked on a duck hunting trip in Oklahoma. “We are overwhelmed with the love and prayers we have received. Thank you all.”
She followed up a few hours later by sharing an emotional message from the Bible, which read, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” We can’t even imagine what Helen is going through during this difficult time.

The Backroad Anthem singer and his best friend, Chase Morland, embarked on their hunting trip on Dec. 27, and one day later, Chase was tragically found dead after their boat capsized. While Craig’s dog, Sam, was discovered alive, the 29-year-old’s body has still not been found nearly three days later.

The saddest part about this whole thing, is that Chase might have foreshadowed the guys’ tragic fate. Before they left, he jokingly tweeted, “In case we don’t come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.” Unfortunately, it became all too true just hours later. Our thoughts remain with Chase and Craig’s loved ones during this difficult time.
