This has to be the best news of 2015! After weeks of speculation it’s finally official, Guns N’ Roses are headlining the 2016 Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif! You better mark your calendars because tickets are expected to sell out in a blink!
Axl Rose and Slash are getting back together! The founding members of Guns N’ Roses have agreed to stage the stage together for the first time in 22 years at Coachella 2016! Fans knew something was up when they began changing the logos on their website and we are so excited! Maybe this means they are going to go back on tour!?
Axl and Slash have decided to put their differences asides and play some of their greatest hits like “Sweet Child of Mine” and “Welcome to the Jungle” at Coachella during the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24. They will be making history considering the last time they played together was in 1993 at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Fans got another hint when a short video featuring old footage from Gun N’ Roses’ concerts played before Stars Wars: The Force Awakens.
But this isn’t the only great news. There’s a report that the band is also in talks to play a 25 city tour in the summer of 2016 — how awesome is that? But tickets are expected to be very expensive and topping out at $250-275 a piece!
If you’re not a big fan of Guns N’ Roses, keep this in mind, they’ve sold over 44.5 million albums in the U.S. and their first album, Appetite for Destruction, went down in music history for being the biggest-selling ever! This news might be as amazing as when Coachella managed to get Outkast back together in 2014!
