This is so messed up! The guy Taylor Swift wrote her hit ‘Teardrops On My Guitar’ about was arrested on Dec. 29 for punching a three-year-old girl in the face. Clearly he’s changed a lot since Taytay was crushing on him. We have the upsetting details.
Taylor Swift’s high school crush, and the inspiration for the hit song “Teardrops On My Guitar” was arrested for child abuse on Dec. 29. Andrew Hardwick, 27, was charged after hitting a three-year-old girl in the face. What a jerk! We have the scoop, here.
Tay wrote her hit “Teardrops On My Guitar” about the unrequited love between she and her high school crush Andrew, but she’s probably so glad her feelings were never returned now! The jerk was arrested on Dec. 29 for punching a three-year-old girl in the face after consuming a lot of alcohol. The disgusting behavior resulted in the child going to the hospital with “severe bruising and lacerations” on her head and a concussion, the Tennessean reported. Just pitiful. You can buy “Teardrops” RIGHT HERE.
Taylor would surely be shocked to hear the news about her highschool crush, as she hasn’t seen him in years. Taylor told the Washington Post about her last time seeing Andrew. “This car pulls up and two guys get out, and one of them is Drew. I hadn’t talked to him in two-and-a-half years. He was like: ‘Hey, how’s it going?’ And I’m like: ‘Wow, you’re late? Good to see you?’ But we were civilized.” So he was even a weirdo back then.
This came years after Taylor released her hit song a decade ago in 2006. At the time, she was obsessed with Andrew while he was lusting after another girl, and it inspired Tay to write “Teardrops.” She even used his name in the song: “Drew talks to me, I laugh ’cause it is just so funny/That I can’t even see anyone when he’s with me./He says he’s so in love, he’s finally got it right/I wonder if he knows he’s all I think about at night.” For once we’re actually glad someone broke Taylor’s heart, because we’re so glad she didn’t end up with this one.
