It’s almost time for ‘The Bachelor’ to kick off — but first, what should we expect from Ben Higgins, the nice guy from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season? In a new interview he previews what he’s looking for in a wife, and what he’s not going to do.
“Ideally at the end, I’ll be own on one knee,” Ben Higgins, 26, the season 20 Bachelor said in a new interview about what he hopes to get out of this season. We know he was shut down by Kaitlyn Bristowe — and that he felt “unlovable” when leaving, but now there’s a ton of girls vying for his attention. However, he’s preparing himself for the challenges, too.
So, wha’t she looking for? “Someone with a genuine heart, someone who really believes in truth and authenticity. And someone who hopefully has the same faith that I do so we can rase a family that way,” Ben said in a new interview with People magazine. Speaking of his faith, he knows that it’s always an issue when it comes to kissing the girls — and going further in the fantasy suites.
“It’s important to take that time away from everybody else,” he said of the infamous overnight dates. “But there are boundaries I’ve set based on my faith. My desire is not to just make out with as many women as possible. The physical part of the relationship will come, but initially I want to get to know the women for who they are.”
This isn’t the first time sex has come up with him, since Kaitlyn flat out asked him on national TV if he was a virgin. “Now my grandmother knows I’m not a virgin,” he told the mag. “Physical intimacy means a lot of different things to different people, and I don’t think any topics should be taboo, especially sex. You should be frank and honest about expectations.”
Well, we have to say from what we’ve already seen, Ben is a stand up guy and finds it really important to respect each of them women. We can’t wait to see him search for love, starting Jan. 4 on ABC. Will you be watching?
