Daisy Ridley takes on the role of Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but that’s pretty much all we know about her — even after seeing the movie (twice). She’s quite the role model for young women and is pretty feisty, but the question remains: what’s her background? Well, one line in the Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game, may have just spoiled it all. Warning: spoilers ahead. If you haven’t yet seen The Force Awakens, you do not want to keep reading!
So in the film, we learn that Rey was abandoned by her family at a young age and is now a scavenger on Jakku. However, she also discovers that she has the power of the Force, but we have no idea how. Luke’s lightsaber was drawn to her — and before Luke, it was his father’s. Also, if you didn’t notice, the music that plays while she is fighting, is the same music that played for Luke, So, many assumed that all of these meant one thing: she was Luke’s daughter.
Right away we learn that the villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is actually the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). So, if Rey is Luke’s daughter, that would make she and Kylo Ren cousins. Well, fans have now noticed that in the Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game, Kylo actually yells at Rey during a battle scene — and he may just confirm that theory.
Here’s the clip of Kylo saying what sounds like “Face me, cousin!” However, others believe he’s saying, “Face me! Curses!” Listen below then let us know., what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Rey Luke’s daughter? Let us know!
