It’s the gift that keeps on giving! Russian President Vladimir Putin released a 2016 calendar featuring…him. Wait, what? Not only that, but one of the months features a very special pic of the politician, shirtless. Click through to see that for yourself!
We had to make sure we were reading this right, but yes, Russian President Vladimir Putin released a what else, Vladimir Putin calendar for 2016. As if that wasn’t strange enough, one of the month’s photos is a pic of the president fishing shirtless! Did you forget to get someone anything for Christmas? Don’t worry, Putin’s got you covered. Click through to see the bizarre photo!
We’re a bit speechless after finding out that this actually exists. The calendar is jam-packed with stunning pictures of the Russian leader (serious, we can’t get over it), but the crown jewel of the bunch is July 2016, wherein Putin is fishing in just a pair of camo pants and a silver crucifix. No shirt, no problem.
Now we’ve all seen Putin shirtless before. Despite being the leader of the country, he’s not shy about showing some skin in public; who’s going to stop him? He’s particularly fond of galloping around the countryside on his trusty horse while shirtless. Yikes! If you’re looking to spend an entire year with Putin, don’t you worry; every month on this calendar is just as good at the last.
A personal favorite? March looks suspiciously like a high school senior photo, in which Putin’s gazing off camera, clutching a flower. His mother has probably wallet-sized versions to all her friends already. Another pic features that aforementioned horse, another (November) in which he’s cuddling a puppy. This whole experience is a rollercoaster. Can you imagine any of the US presidential candidates releasing a calendar like this?
The calendar doesn’t just feature pictures, but inspirational quotes from the president. In the flower pic: “I like all Russian women. I think Russian women are the most talented and the most beautiful.” The November quote: “Dogs and I have very warm feelings for one and other.” Keep in mind that the military-themed pics are a little more serious, like October: “No one will succeed in gaining military superiority over Russia.”
