The Weeknd chose a mind-blowing way to drop the mic on an incredible 2015. The singer released not one but two new songs on Christmas day as a gift to all of his fans. What an amazing treat!
Santa delivered the best Christmas present ever in the form of TWO new songs by The Weeknd! The first mind-blowing tune is “Low Life,” a collaboration with Future, and the second is a remix of Jeremih’s “Pass Dat.” Both tunes are available now on SoundCloud but HollywoodLife has them for you right here! Listen and enjoy.
Leave it to The Weeknd to make our Christmas a little more jammin’. He gifted us with two hot new songs and we can’t decide which we love more. Either way, we’re just glad to have them as our new drops in time for the new year! What a great way to close out 2015, we’re loving it! The singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, told his fans “Merry Christmas” as he announced the news via Twitter Christmas morning.
“Low Life” is a little dark as Future raps “Make ’em take a sip of Ace of Spade like its water / I’ve been on the molly and the Xans with your daughter / If she catch me cheating, I will never tell her sorry,” while the Weeknd sings on the chorus, “I’m reppin’ for that low life.” FYI the lyrics are definitely NSFW, but we’ve got to love the fact that Future snuck in a drop of saying the line “can’t feel my face” in reference to Abel’s summer smash!
“Pass Dat” is minimalist in it’s backing track, with just a few beats and a melody, leaving the highlights to The Weeknd and Jeremih. But be forewarned before you crank it up in front of others, like his other song it has language that is definitely NSFW so put on your headphones to enjoy it.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of The Weeknd’s new songs?
