‘Fuller House’ has officially received a theme song — and it’s a cover of the original theme! So, who will sing it?
While the teaser that made us all cry for Fuller House featured Miranda Lambert‘s “House That Built Me,” we can now confirm that the original theme from the ’90s hit show will actually return for the Netflix spinoff that will focus on DJ, Kimmy and Stephanie, and their family. However, it won’t be the original version — and it’s by one our favorite singers!
“Butch Walker and I re-did the theme song for Carly Rae Jepsen revealed on Twitter on Wednesday, Dec. 23. Netflix’s Twitter also retweeted this account, so we know it’s official — and we couldn’t be more excited!together and I can’t wait for you to hear it,” singer
Carly Rae has had quite the year — she’s also going to be in Frenchy in Grease Live on Fox, and we have a feeling it’s going to be amazing!
Of course, the original song for Full House was “Everywhere You Look” and was pretty much perfect — which is what we assume this cover will be as well. Butch Walker is a famous songwriter and singer who was extremely successful in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
The spinoff will be based on a newly widowed DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), whose sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and BFF Kimmy (Andrea Barber) move in to help. Kimmy also has a kid of her own! It will also feature a ton of the original cast: Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger and Lori Loughlin.
Are you excited to watch Fuller House? The first season will hit Netflix on Feb. 26!
