There appeared to be hardly a dry eye in the room as Teresa reunited with her four girls at the family’s New Jesey home for the first time after being released from the Danbury Correctional Facility in Connecticut on Dec. 23. In the intimate photos, shared by the Giudice family, of the moment Teresa was welcomed home, the reality star is seen hugging and kissing her girls as a huge smile spreads across her face. The girls, who had also made a sweet welcome home sign for their mother, looked incredibly happy to have Tersa back at home with them, and could hardly keep their hands off of her as they took turns giving her giant hugs. “Joe kind of stood off to the side for a second and let them all greet their mother,” a source told People.”Then the whole family kind of embraced each other and had a moment together.”
In another photo Teresa could also be seen holding on tightly to her husband Joe Giudice, who, like his wife, seemed unable to contain his emotions as he was seen smiling from ear to ear. In one of the final, and sweetest photos, Teresa can also be seen standing in the middle of a giant family hug while planting a big kiss on Joe. So sweet!
The whole family was said to have been “anxiously anticipating her arrival,” according to People, while Joe was reportedly “waiting for her in the driveway smiling.” Joe also gifted Teresa a brand, new black Lexus SUV, which was waiting in the driveway with a big red bow when she pulled up. Teresa’s daughters also festively decorated the house with signs and Christmas decor, while Gia tweeted her joy over her mother’s arrival, writing, “welcome home.”
“Teresa is beyond excited to finally see her family. She can’t wait to see them,” a source told People magazine ahead of her release. “It has been a pretty challenging year for her and her family, to say the least. She has waited for this day since the moment she set foot in there. She is so happy. The first thing she is going to do when she gets home is hug Joe and her girls so tight. She has missed them all so much while she was in prison. She is going to spend as much time with them as she can.”
Teresa’s time away definitely took its toll on her family, who were only able to see her a handful of times throughout her sentence. Even when she wasn’t able to see her girls physically though, Teresa made sure she found other ways to show them love and support. In an episode of her Bravo show Teresa Checks In, it was revealed that the RHONJ star had sent her eldest girl, Gia, a giant bouquet of flowers on the night of her eighth grade dance just she let her know how much she missed her.
We can’t even begin to imagine how relieved Teresa’s girls must be to finally have their mother back home with them. It’s definitely been a long year for the Giudice’s and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate her coming home than with lots of quality family time throughout the holidays.
