Will Steve Harvey be the next Super Bowl commercial star? After he completely flubbed the ending of the Miss Universe pageant by crowning the wrong winner, Steve is suddenly in high demand to be part of the coveted ads. Get the EXCLUSIVE details here!
Steve Harvey, 58, may have caused some major drama on the Miss Universe pageant when he accidentally named Miss Colombia the winner instead of Miss Philippines, but that has made him a hot commodity for Super Bowl commercials! Companies have apparently already begun approaching Steve to poke a little fun at his huge flub. Could this be what he needs to end the embarrassment from the pageant?
“People from Snickers and other companies have been flooding Steve to do something fun for a Super Bowl commercial to make light of his flub and make a very funny spot,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He is looking forward to take on something and really have fun with it to finally bury the controversy.”
Considering how terrible Steve felt about his Miss Universe mistake, a Super Bowl ad might just be the perfect way to redeem himself! After profusely apologizing when he admitted his error live on air, Steve continued to issue apologies on his Twitter and Facebook pages. He confessed that he simply just read the card wrong when naming Miss Colombia as the winner — we can only imagine the mockery that could come of that in a commercial!
In fact, Steve’s blunder has already inspired a slew of funny memes and reactions. Even Justin Bieber couldn’t help join in with a hilarious “Sorry” meme! Wouldn’t that be something if JB made an appearance in Steve’s ads too?
While no deals have been made yet, we wouldn’t doubt it if Steve wanted to take at least one of the Super Bowl commercial offers to help laugh off such a big mistake. Even if he doesn’t, though, it sounds like he might be returning to the Miss Universe stage anyway — he has reportedly signed a multi-year deal to host again!
Sure, Steve totally messed up the Miss Universe ending, but Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines have already spoken out about the incident and there seem to be no hard feelings on either end. Since that’s the case, we’d think the girls would love to Steve make a little fun of himself in an ad — we certainly would!
