Steve Harvey Returning To Miss Universe? He’s Signed A ‘Multi-Year’ Deal — Report

He’s back! Steve Harvey will take the stage again and again and again to host the Miss Universe Pageant, according to a shocking new report. The ‘Family Feud’ host has already signed a multi-year deal and despite crowning the wrong winner, the organization wants him back.

Wait, so you can majorly screw up on live television, crown the wrong Miss Universe and still get paid millions to do it again? We want that job! Steve Harvey has reportedly already signed at least a three year deal to come back and host the Miss Universe Pageant even though he majorly screwed up and crowned the wrong winner!

Believe it or not, the 58-year-old’s deal is from anywhere between three and seven years — that’s nuts! Not only that — his paycheck is the most they’ve ever paid a host in Miss Universe history, according to Entertainment Tonight. It turns out WME/IMG (the company that owns the Miss Universe Organization) “really loves” Steve and they have “no qualms” about bringing him back. But what about the elephant in the room … he crowned the wrong winner? It turns out they are just overlooking it — sounds like they like the attention!

Chief Content Officer at WME|IMG, Mark Shapiro, said Steve is “very remorseful” and they “absolutely” want him to host in Belize for the 2016 Miss Universe Pageant. Mark actually even said Steve “did a great job. He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following. … I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself!” Wow … except for that tiny little moment at the end, right?

But we knew Steve wanted to come back! “He wants a chance to redeem himself. He can’t go out like this and wants a Miss Universe do-over,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “He desperately wants to host the pageant again so he can restore integrity to his name and pride in the pageant.” Another source also told us: “Steve is mortified [by his mistake]. He’s in disbelief. He screwed up big time. Steve is usually an upbeat, funny man who’s always smiling and laughing. But this isn’t a laughing matter. He feels bad for himself, but more important, for Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines.”
