Madonna’s holiday has gotten off to a rough start. The pop-star’s teenage son Rocco, is reportedly refusing to come home for Christmas and wants to remain in London with his father — Guy Ritchie. The singer has gone to court to force Rocco to fly home to New York City.
Madonna, 57, and Guy Ritchie are reportedly in a heated battle over their teenage son, Rocco, 15. It seems their son is refusing to spend the holiday break with his mom in New York City, and is trying to stay in London with his dad. So, Madge took her problem to the Manhattan Supreme Court on Dec. 23.
Madonna appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court the day before Christmas Eve to reportedly ask Justice Deborah Kaplan to force her ex-husband to send their son home to NYC for the holiday, according to Fox News. Rocco is refusing to return from London to the US to be with his mother, because he is reportedly sick of touring with her and just wants to have a normal holiday break in London. You can’t blame him, that’s a lot for anyone to handle.
The Manhattan Supreme Court Justice ordered Rocco to come home, but then Guy’s attorney David Typermass reportedly stepped in and made it clear that he would not voluntarily return to the U.S. A source close to the situation told The Post that, “This is a 15½-year-old strapping young kid, so we’ll see.” The insider added, “The boy said he didn’t want to stay with her. He’s not getting along with his mom, which is not a surprise for a child that age.”
